The limbs would like to thank all the
awesome people and bands that put us up, fed us, got us drunk, etc.
We are eternally grateful. Oh, and all you punk
ass mothers, who said that our van wouldn't make it to NYC and
back,
eat a bag of dicks.

FRI 8/31:
LOS ANGELES, CA - Mr T's Bowl
Our first of two bowling alley shows. Lots of our peeps
at this show from the Old School. Decent set. Jason and
I were both working the merch table, shit was selling like
hotcakes. We make some much needed gas $. Sonia from the
LBC kicks down some comp tapes and care packages for the
road. Afterwards its off to Penelope Chenkins and Jefferson's
for some vodka, hip hop and passing out. |

SAT 9/1:
JOSHUA TREE, CA
CKDS' friend Aileen Wuornos sets us up with a show at the
only café in Joshua Tree. Spend the day at this house
with these crazy drunken marines who spend their time drinking
beer and doing shots of tequila, while they infuse watermelons
with vodka and make jello shots. Play for about 5 people.
Café kicks down food and beer. Later its back to
the marines. I pay some truly awful jams on a Rhodes piano
with some crazy dude. Late in the evening, Aileen Wuornos
puts a kitchen knife to my throat and then Skot's, threatening
to barbecue us. We leave early the next morning and leave
her a poster and note thanking her for not killing us.

SUN 9/2: TUCSON - Double
Zero
Stayed with Joel from Los Federales. He makes us some kick
ass spaghetti w/ calamari which we enjoy while watching
the Hitler channel on cable. Joel is happy to put us up,
but must insist on the no masturbating in the shower rule!
Show is fun. Los Feds kick ass. Hung out with my brother,
who for some inexplicable reason, now lives in Tucson. Hey,
Kim and Sam from Oaktown came down to surprise us and their
old crew from Tucson. Whoo Hoo! (Jason loses his keys!)
Later, on the way out of town, I defecate on the side of
the road.

MON 9/3: FORT JACKALOPE,
TX
Ok, The show at the Brewery in Las Cruces NM is cancelled.
Apparently, Fleshies played there a few days prior and were
asked to stop 'cause people were leaving. So, we hit the
supermarket (pre-packaged deli fried chicken. amongst other
treats) and dig in at the side of the road. Late at night,
we pull into the Comfort Inn in Fort Jackalope. An Audry
Hephburn / Bogie film on the tele (Sabrina 1954). Jason
loses his ATM card? |

TUE 9/4: AUSTIN -
Emo's
Great club! Two local bands. One having a record release.
NOBODY at the show. To make things worse, Jason beats
me at Ms Pac Man and the weather is hot and humid as fuck.
We see Amy, our pal from Oaktown, briefly. Ed, also Ex-Oaktown,
puts us up and feeds us some killer grub in the morn.

WED
9/5 & THUR 9/6: NEW ORLEANS - Dixie Tavern & Mermaid
Lounge
Pull into NOLA and the Dixie. We're told that the Dixie
would kick down some beer. Not so! Small crowd, mismatched
bill. Afterwards, we stay with the kids from Dogstar Communications
/ Pantipoon Rose. They have an awesome house. Those more
fortunate than I are treated to glimpses of Trent Reznor's
and Ann Rice's homes. The next day we head to the cemetery:
CLOSED! So, we wander around the French corner aimlessly.
Weather is unbearable. I have never sweated so much in my
life. Try to get some Gumbo for dinner. Once again fail.
FAILURE at every turn. That night we play at the Mermaid
lounge. Again, NOBODY at the show. The weather is killing
me. I want to go home. This is the low point of the tour.
Did I mention Po Boys, Po Boys, Po Boys.
